The Proxomitron is an advance web filtering program that only recently i figured out how to get it working. I can not get it working in IE itself, although Avant works just fine , as well as Opera, Yahelite,. and other programs that use http proxy... the developer is no longer developing this program but if you look at forums like on Computer Cop, there are many many people still creating new filters for it . You can almost make or download filters to block or adjust anything you would see on any site. From javascripts, "smart flash ads", webbugs (1 x 1 pixel images that are not really seen that track users).... they all can be blocked.... this is NOT for novices, i will say.... some filters are still testing and i know how to shut them off if i say have problems on a certain page... I plan to get as many links to filter sites and/or groups here as possible. I have always wanted this program, but have had problems with it.... with filters and addons to this program, you can remove ads and annoyances like webbugs as well as say tripod and Geocities ad banners (without any other popup blocking type software)...
