Re Validating and Cleaning Code

Yeah, I am sure no one really cares ... just "cleaning up" useless code and revalidating the site. I still see sites that work on only one browser (Internet Explorer mainly ) and when you try to view them in others, the layout is "WAYYYY OFF" ... I try to support enough of the older browsers and stay with currently/slightly ahead of the curve with web standards... I do not particularly like those sites done COMPLETELY in javascript... they may look better, but anyone with java turned off, will not see ANY part of the site.

With me, (Hopefully :P ) ... at the very least if you have script turned off, you make get stuck with my page in a "frame" ..however, the layout will be the same ... if you have CSS off... you will not see the site the way I intended,. but all the content should still appear, no problem.

Shareaza Update at Sourceforge now - Main site is RIAA

Shareaza News - I Admit I do not sure of the details of what happened; although it appear that some RIAA or MPAA type organization has taken over Shareaza... THE VERSION 4.X (at the time I am typing this is the new version number) is NOT THE NEW RELEASE of the "old Shareaza" that everyone knows. Sooooooo many sites (including mine) had links to Shareaza.com, which is now part of that company. The company even uses the old Shareaza logo but as soon as you install it, when all the extra junk installs with it, you will know it’s not the same program.

I am sorry for those that took my recommendation of download "BSPlayer". It turns out that BSPlayer IS Spyware now.

Some decent BSPlayer alternatives that I have found:

Media Player Classic - (May also be labeled as "Quicktime alternative" or "Real Alternative")

VLC - sometimes called "VideoLAN Player" - Can not scroll through FLV files during playback, but still good

SMPlayer - My "Runner Up" to GOM Player - Scrolls threw formats such as FLV

GOM Player - My Current Video Player of Choice - Scrolls threw formats such as FLV without "lag" of any kind

Mp3 Gain

Adjusts volume on mp3s so there is not one really loud one and one you hae to turn the volume up to hear.

COMMENT: I am not saying this program is not that good... but I personally like "Mp3Trim (pro)" better. mp3s I adjust with Mp3 Gain seems to be a tad off (volume and overall sound) afterwards

Launchy

Launch software by typing in a few characters of the name. .... Vista (as much as its junk) has this features as well as Suse Linux 10.x. .. This program is for XP (and 2k possibly...)

NOTE: not sure what is wrong, but I never could get this to work right ... looks like a program I'd like to try though

JKDefrag and JkDefragGUI

**(quote from JKDefragGUI help file) ** JkDefrag GUI is an Graphical User Interface which allows you to easily select all the features JkDefrag, a freeware defragmentation tool made by Jeroen Kessels has to offer.

J-Zip

Yet ANOTHER Winzip Freeware Alternative

Defragger

This Defrags individual files and is not as robost as some other defragmenting programs ... however ITS FREE
